Animal Adoption Center

  Animal Adoption Center of Blount County is here to assist in serving the county's needs in controlling stray, abandoned, and unwanted animals.  Our goals are to unite animals, primarily but not limited to dogs and cats, with good caring homes.  We promote spaying and neutering of companion animals to prevent overpopulation and try to educate county residents on responsible pet care.  The shelter accepts animals from any resident of Blount County.

Directions:

Our facility is located at 120 Shelter Drive just off of County Hwy 1 in Cleveland, AL.  Our mailing address is P.O. Box 458, Cleveland, AL 35049.

South of Oneonta- State Hwy 75 to Allgood turn North on County Hwy 1 drive approx. 5 miles, turn right on to Shelter Drive.   

North of Oneonta-Take State Hwy 231 North to 4 way stop in Cleveland (intersection of 231, Hwy160 and County 1), turn left, go 1.5 miles, turn left on Shelter Drive.    

From Hayden-area take Hwy 160 East to 4-way stop in Cleveland (intersection of 160, 231, and County 1), turn right onto Hwy 1 go 1.5miles, turn left on Shelter Drive.
